Q & A
1. What kind of camera equipment do you carry?
I mainly carry Nikon equipment, witch includes small, medium and large lenses. Several filters and flash or small softboxes to add dimension and softness to the client.
2. Do you carry tripods or umbrellas for formal sessions?
If not, why?
I currently work with available light only, and i'll tell you why,
I photograph in a photojournalistic style, so my photography is taken with a lot of new & edgy angles. I want my photography to speak to you about that specific time, that way when people look at your photography, they will feel the energy & the passion of that time. This requiers me to move very quickly. I need very light equipment to allow me to move in every dirrection possible.
3. What do we wear for a photo session?
It is always best to wear comfortable clothing. Just as long as your comfortable that's all that matters. Of course Clothing that is too tight not only does it not feel comfortable it looks that way to the eye as well. Light colors on children, or dresses on girls and matching colors for a family or a large group always works.
4. Do we have to sign a contract for our wedding?
Yes. I mail it to my clients if the desire. E-mail it through a PDF File. Or it's exchanged when we meet for a one on one Consultation. It states the copyright rules, the important dates and times of course, everything included on your package, all your final wants and needs, prices and in the end it is signed by both parties. Both stay with copies.
5. How do we communicated with you what we want?
You really have to think about what you are looking for before you hire a Photographer.
At times I have communicated with my clients all through e-mail up to the moment we meet at out destination, for some e-mail is faster and less frighting..lol. We can also speak on the phone. I basically answer all your questions. We set the date, the first down payment is paid, that payment is ussually sent by check 4 days after the appointment is made, and it reserves your date in our calendar. A few days later we exchange information as to were to meet, what time to be there, what vehicle we drive...so we know who's who, and phone numbers.
Easy!
6. Can we change clothing?
Sure Thing! You can bring up to 2 changes of clothing for regular sessions. 3 for maternity sessions. 3 for babies, and 2 for toddlers.
7. I'm a little nervous, I have small children and they are pretty active, how do you make the session go smoothly with very small active children?
I've worked with many children, and I find that small children are really easy. They are actually easier because they are very natural and very unique in their own little ways. I've had to stop sessions before to give small children a little break, and that's perfectly fine. I am very patient. I have 3 small girls, under 7! So trust me, I'm fast with my camera.
8. What happenens if I don't like the pictures that are taken?
I have never had that happen. My photography is always fresh and edgy. You have to always have an open mind though, because certain things like weather I cannot predict! If something like that happens I always re-schedule.
